Creation in Crisis
Creation in Crisis is a project which explores connection through creativity during times of crisis. It currently takes the form of a substack newsletter, where Alice writes about the act of creating, and all its moral, philosophical, and practical implications. Whether making art, building a family, or constructing a self, guests will be asked to discuss their relationship to the identity shifting role of creating at a time where hope is hard to find.
We are living in times of crisis. The words climate, housing, and mental health, all immediately bring the word crisis to mind. This can be overwhelming, and one might wonder how anyone can dedicate time to creativity when there are so many more seemingly pressing needs. However, as long as there have been writers, there has been adversity. Whether personal or globally, a writer grapples with the struggles and joys of the human race in their work.
